Minsk will host a Belarusian-Slovak economic forum on September 7, a representative of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) told BelaPAN.
The event has been organized by the BCCI in cooperation with the Belarusian foreign ministry and the Slovak embassy in Minsk. Executives representing 14 large Slovak companies interested in investment and other economic ties with Belarus are expected to attend the forum.
The companies include industrial equipment manufacturers, as well as construction, power engineering, IT, tourism and trade enterprises.
The forum will be held in the framework of Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak’s visit to Belarus scheduled for September 6 and 7.
Apart from taking part in the forum, the Slovak minister is expected to meet with Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Belarusian Foreign Minister Syarhey Martynaw.
