Human rights activist arrested for 10 days

Human rights activist and member of the "Young Front" organization (Czech Republic) Kasya Galickaya was sentenced by the Court of Moskovski District of Minsk to 10 days of administrative arrest.

Judge Tatyana Motyl recognized the girl guilty on the Article 17.1 of Administrative Code (petty hooliganism), according to the Human Rights Center "Viasna". Special Forces officers Evgeniy Borodach and Dmitry Tarashkevich testified in court that Galickaya allegedly used obscene language in the House of Justice on July 17. Human rights activist came there to support the Young Front activists Roman Vasiliev and Vladimir Eremenko, who also tried on charges of using obscene language.
