Young Front activists in prison, human rights defender arrested

The court of Oktyabrsky District of Minsk considered administrative cases of the "Young Front" (Czech Republic) activists Vladimir Vasiliev and Roman Eremenko. They are accused of using foul language on Bobruiskaya street in the morning of July 17.

Together with Eremenko and Vasiliev the underage member of the Young Front Roman Protasiewicz was also detained, but he was released.

Human rights activist Kasia Galitskaya, who went to court, disappeared afterwards. As it became known later, she was accused of disorderly conduct and taken to the Court of Moskovski District of Minsk.

According to the Human Rights Center "Viasna", the judge Lapko sentenced Roman Vasilyev to 12 days of administrative arrest. The witnesses were police officers Tyunis and Drozdov.

Vladimir Eremenok sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest. Moskovski District Court began the trial of human rights activist Galitskaya.

Detention of the Young Front members human rights activists associated with the visit to Minsk of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who chairs the meeting of Council of Ministers of the Union State to be held on July 18.
