Joanna Ledworuch's controversial poster has been removed from the Cześć Brześć (Hello Brest) exhibition dedicated to 1000 years of Brest, local resident Ivan Chaychyts wrote on Facebook.

"Assumingly, it has happened because there were many negative comments about the poster and its author," he wrote.

Euroradio reported earlier that Brest is hosting an exhibition of posters created by Polish graphic design students from the Academy of Arts in Katowice. Joanna Ledworuch's poster triggered a fierce debate because the author used the image of the World War II monument titled "Courage" in the Brest Fortress. On the poster, the monument is painted in bright colors, is smiling and making selfies.
