An illegal Muslim organization was liquidated near Minsk at the end of 2014, Belarus 1 reported yesterday.
20 Salafists were detained, eighth of them were foreigners. The group was formed by foreign missioners from an extremist Arab organization. The people possessed extremist literature, the police say. The Muslim community was indignant at the missioners’ activity.
Preventive measures were applied to the detained Belarusians and the foreigners were deported from the country, head of the KGB press service Artur Streh said.
