15 MPs from different parliamentary group have expressed a desire to work on Belarus.
Anatol Lyabedzka, the leader of the United Civil Party, told this information to ucpb.org website. A decision on creating the group has already been taken; the composition of the group is being formed.
The situation in Belarus was discussed yesterday in the parliament with participation of a Belarusian delegation. The speech by Andrei Sannikov’s mother evoked a wide emotional response. Everyone agreed the country in the centre of the European continent must not have political prisoners.
The UCP leader noted as a positive sign that a group on Belarus was an independent body against the previous years, when it was a branch of the group on relations with Russia. The country has a partner to work out and implement joint actions plans and implement, Lyabedzka notes.
The Belarusian delegation consisted of Anatol Lyabedzka, Alla Sannikova, Alyaksei Yanuevich, Iryna Bahdanava, Ihar Drako and Alyaksei Mikhalevich.
