"I think the new alignment of political forces in the Duma of Russia will have no effect on the Belarusian-Russian relations", Anatol Lyabedzka the chairman of the United Civil Party expressed this opinion in an interview with UDF.BY.
"The thing is that all the real power levers of Russia are in the Kremlin, and State Duma is just a retransmitter of Moscow's official position towards Minsk", Anatol Lyabedzka said.
According to the politician, drop in the rating of United Russia reflects not only declining the level of people's trust to the party in power, but also that "unlike Belarus, they still vote by ballots in Russia and not by protocols".
"The Russian authorities didn't begin the mass falsification, as it commonly happens in Belarus", the leader of the UCP said.
Anatol Lyabedzka also thinks, the results of parliamentary elections indicate, that the return of Putin in the Kremlin "is not as bravoure as he would like to".
"Of course, the Belarusian-Russian relations will appear in the pre-election rhetoric of all the candidates for presidency in Russia, including Putin. This situation can be used by the Belarusian authorities to obtain additional preferences from Russia", Anatol Lyabedzka said.
