Former presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov was sent from Babruisk penal colony to Mahiliou colony, which is considered a transit prison. It is a temporary detention facility for the criminals to be transferred to another colony under guard. This was reported by the politician's attorney, Maria Kovalevskaia.
It's still unknown where the leader of the campaign "European Belarus" will be sent. The lawyer was not allowed to meet with her client, reported Euroradio
Maria Kovalevskaia complained about the actions of the chief of prison № 4 in Mahiliou Alexander Lomazov, who'd declined her claim to see the client, to the management of the Department of Corrections of Mahiliou region.
The lawyer sees the violation of the constitutional rights of Andrei Sannikov in the actions of the prison's chief. As by law, her client may count for legal assistance at any time, regardless of whether it's a prison transfer or a regular detention.
