The Organizing Committee of BCD will try to register the party again

The Organizing Committee for creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party has begun preparations for the fourth Constituent Assembly of the party, which is scheduled for December 17. The decision was made on September 17 in Minsk by the National Council of the BCD.

As Vital Rymasheuski the co-chairman of the Organizing Committee noted at the meeting, the registration of the BCD as a party will protect activists from prosecution under Article 193 of the Criminal Code of Belarus, which specifies responsibility for the activities on behalf of an unregistered organization.

"Moreover, people should know that the Belarusian Christian Democracy exists, that it develops," - reports the words of the co-chair Georgy Dmytruk the BCD press service.

The National Council participants, taking into account disadvantages of past attempts to register, discussed organizational aspects of the Constituent Assembly and the party's registration.

However, the BCD leadership don't believe that the authorities will agree to register the party and won't impede the activities of the Organizing Committee's members.
