The national security service KGB has filed criminal charges against two police officers in Mazyr, Homel region, accused of forging cases, reports Ezhednevnik.

Major Bogdan Ausiyuk is suspected of office abuse. According to preliminary reports, the officer falsified the investigation proceedings in the case against a resident of Mazyr in March-April 2009.

Ausiuyk was the local criminal police chief for several years and just one month ago he was promoted to the anti-corruption and organized crime unit at the Interior Ministry.

Another officer, Lt. Siarhei Pashevich is also accused of falsifying the case.

KGB agents are now studying other criminal cases to see if there were other falsifications.
