Criminal case opened against Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus

Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus has confirmed that against the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus was opened a criminal case.

Chief of the Public Security Police Yevgeny Poluden is suspected of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 424 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power or official authority).

Whether the police colonel is removed from the post, he was appointed on August 4, 2009, or not, is not known. But, at the time of this writing, on the official website of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Yevgeny Poluden still was listed as Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs - Chief of the Public Security Police.

Prosecutor General's Office established an investigating team and started to investigate the case.

If the guilt of suspected is proven in court, a sentence to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property is waiting for him.
