"There are two lines of trucks. The queue is about 2 kilometres long. It is difficult to count all the trucks. I think there are about 300 or 400," head of Zastsenki village council Anatol Dorykau told Euroradio.
The M1 tolled highway crosses his territory. Hauliers and drivers of cars with registration outside of the Customs Union have to pay a toll. You need to buy a device at a special check point, create an account and use it. Sensors will charge you automatically for passing every stretch of the tolled highway.
It is convenient, but there are some drawbacks. You have to register in the system. Not all hauliers had acquired the devices in advance. There are queues both at the Belarusian-Russian and Belarusian-Polish borders.
"There are queues near the both check-points. There are always from 15 to 20 people there. It takes 20 minutes per person. You can count how long it will take... People did not buy the devices in advance and kept putting it off," Brest border filling station Beltransoil hosting BelToll systems told Euroradio.
