Belarus and Kyrgyzstan have agreed on a permit-free road transportation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry of Belarus.

Minsk hosted a ceremony to sign a protocol on amendments and additions to the Belarus-Kyrgyzstan intergovernmental agreement on international road transportation. The document was signed by First Deputy Transport and Communications Minister of Belarus Aleksei Lyakhnovich and Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Tilek Tekebaev.

The protocol scraps permits for all types of international road haulage and non-regular passenger transportation between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.

During the ceremony the parties exchanged views on cooperation prospects in the transport sector.
