The Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan has sent a note to Belarus' Foreign Ministry with a request to detain and extradite Zhanysh Bakiyev, brother of Kyrgyzstan's ex-president.

The Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan refer to these photos as to a proof that the president's brother is in the territory of Belarus.

At present, Bakiyev is on international wanted list, because he is charged with major criminal offences. In this regard, Belarus' Foreign Ministry sent a verbal note "to take comprehensive measures by the Belarusian side in order to arrest Janysh Bakiyev as soon as possible, and subsequently, to extradite to the Kyrgyz Republic", the press office of the country's foreign ministry said.

The Belarusian authorities refused to extradite Kurmanbek Bakiyev to Kyrgyzstan twice. Information on Bakiyev's status and his location is not disclosed.
