The number of residents of the Belarusian High-Tech Park has increased by a quarter right before the President’s decree #8 is about to come into force. 46 new residents were registered in the HPT on March 13, tut.by reports.
The number of HTP residents has increased by 88 (to 238) in a year.
Most of the new companies were created not long ago. Their business plans are oriented at the new conditions that will be provided by decree #8, HTP representatives noted. “There are also companies that used to refrain from joining the HTP in the past but have changed their opinion because of decree #8 – 12 out of 46 were created before 2016,” the Park administration repots. Almost 50 companies have joined the HTP over the last two months while 150 companies joined the park in 12 years, well-known entrepreneur Victar Prakapenya said.
Decree #8 creating special conditions for the IT-sphere in Belarus will come into force on March 28.
