Belarusian IT Boom! Over 100 New Residents Join Hi-Tech Park In 5 Months
Over the past six months, more than 100 new companies have become the residents of the Hi-Tech Park (HTP) in Belarus.

This is a historical inflow of businessmen.

The Supervisory Board of HTP gave a thumbs-up to the registration of new 56 resident companies, with the total number of residents reaching 293.

A quarter of newcomers create their own products for different spheres of the economy.

One third of projects are supported by local investors. 34 companies from the pool were established by the Belarusian citizens.

Digital Light Studio is the first animation studio in Belarus that entered the world market and now cooperates with such industry leaders as Disney, Discovery, Sky, and Panda.

The rest is working with funding from Australia, the USA, Russia, Canada, Lithuania and the Czech Republic.

Another positive moment is that not only giants, powerful product creators or outsourcers can join the HTP residents, small companies and startup are welcome too.

“We see that the Park has opened its doors to new companies. Now we have to spend less time on paperwork and can focus on business and earning money instead.

We have prepared all the documents for joining the park on our own, without resorting to the help of legal companies,” Viktor Khamenok, Rosem Robotics Company director, said.

Experts note that the conditions for entering the HTP have become a way more simple, transparent and quick.

After the president’s fateful decree №8 “On the development of the digital economy” and the appointment of a new head of the HTP, a sharp increase of the residents was recorded.

Over the past year, the HTP resident companies exported software development services worth over $1 billion.

The Park is by right the main project of the domestic IT-sphere that forms a new generation of digital society in the country.
