March 28, the Latvian national airline AirBaltic made its first flight from Riga to Minsk National Airport after a one-year pause caused by COVID-19, according to the website of Minsk airport. The Latvian airline stopped flying to Minsk because of COVID-19 on March 16, 2020.

Flights on the route Riga-Minsk-Riga are now scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays, arriving in Minsk at 14:20 and departing at 15:10. Over time, the airline may increase the frequency of flights.

AirBaltic started its regular flights from Riga to Minsk National Airport on 1 August 2005.

Minsk Airport recommends passengers to check the valid rules of entry into the country of destination by contacting the authorized bodies of the country of arrival before buying a ticket and just before the flight.

Entry into Latvia with a tourist visa is currently not allowed, it is possible to enter only for exceptional reasons: work, studies, training courses, reunification with family members, receiving medical services, transit, visiting funerals, etc.
