From July 27 to August 26, 1,658 citizens of Germany made use of the visa-free regime, belta.by reports.

Last year, German citizens were also leaders in the number of entries to Belarus on visa-free travel regime. According to experts, the Germans arrive in Belarus with “business” interests.

Compared to last year, as of August 2018, the number of visitors from Germany has increased by 35.4%.

The 30-day visa-free regime came into force on July 24. Since then, it has been used by 12,000 foreigners. Among them were 969 US citizens (second only to the Germans) and 946 Italians.

Citizens of 74 countries can come to our country for 30 days without a visa (only through the National Airport).

For visa-free entry to Belarus, foreign nationals need to have a passport, money (48 BYN for each day, or 1,225 BYN for a full 30 days), an insurance policy for not less than 10,000 euros.

Foreigners coming to Belarus are to go through mandatory registration with the internal affairs bodies. Since 2019, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has promised to make it possible to register via the Internet.

An agreement on mutual visa-free regime between Belarus and China was signed on June 10 in Qingdao.
