Alyaksandr Lukashenka has been ruled off the ice for the first time ever. It happed during the Christmas match between Belarus and the United Arab Emirates in Chyzhouka Arena in Minsk. Number 1 player violated the rules in the third period. Lukashenka leaned all his weight upon a rival as if it were free style wrestling. The UAE hockey player fell down and the President collapsed on him.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka accepted his penalty point with humour. Nasha Niva uploaded a video of the curious incident noting that Belarus 5 did not show the replay.

Belarus won the match – 12:7. Lukashenka scored three goals.
