Belarus is in the 65th position out of 127 in the Social Progress Index. The rating was made by American experts who assessed the state of medicine, education, access to technologies, human rights protection and tolerance.
Denmark is the leader of the rating followed by Finland, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden, Austria and New Zealand. Such countries as Afghanistan, Yemen, Guinea, Niger, Angola, Chad and the Central African Republic are in the last positions.
Belarus’ neighbours are in the following positions: Poland – 32, Latvia- 34, Lithuania – 35, Ukraine – 64 and Russia – 67.
