Belarusian State University (BSU) has made it to the THE Europe University Rankings 2017. BSU is in 301+ group among 400 European universities in the ranking.
BSU is the only Belarusian university represented in the regional ranking.
Institutions were assessed on their teaching environment, research environment, citations (research influence), industry income and international outlook.
Among Belarus’ neighbor states, Ukraine can boast 4 universities in the ranking, Poland – 9, Latvia – 2. There are also 24 higher educational institutions from Russia, Lomonosov Moscow State University ranked in Top 100.
The top 10 European universities include UK, Swiss, German and Swedish institutions, but UK universities take most of the top spots.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2016-2017 rank 980 universities around the world, and just under 400 of them are universities in Europe.
Belarusian State University has recently improved its position in another influential ranking.
It rose 20 positions up to 334th place in the updated list of the world’s top universities QS World University Rankings 2017/18.
