Belarus no longer heaviest drinking nation

Lithuania is currently in the lead.

The data comes from the WHO.

According to the WHO representative, in Lithuania, in 2016, each resident on average drank 16 liters of alcohol.

Belarus is in the second place, where each inhabitant drinks about 15 liters of alcohol per year.

The third place is occupied by Latvia — an average of about 13 liters per capita is consumed there.

Russia and Poland are sharing the 4th place (a little more than 12 liters per inhabitant).
