New reactor vessel examined at Belarusian NPP

The new reactor vessel was examined at the Belarusian NPP on December 29. Representatives of the general constructor, producer, Belarusian railway, transporting company, customer and contractor general were present there. Specialists examined the whole reactor vessel.
The check-up was conducted due to an incident that had occurred during the transportation of the reactor vessel. The metallic cover of the reactor collided with a concrete post at the railway station Slaunaye in Talachyn District. It has been reported that the speed of the train was 3 km/h.
Specialists have found no traces of damage in the spot where the metallic cover hit a concrete post. The incoming inspection of the reactor vessel will be conducted in normal mode.
