Kyiv authorities have given permission for the installation of the monument to fallen Belarusians. It will commemorate Mikhal Zhyzneusky, who died on the Institutskaya street during the revolution of 2014, Aliaksandr Charkashyn and Vitali Tsilizhanka killed in Donbas, defending Ukraine. Here is what the volunteer Volha Halchanka told Euroradio.
"We wanted to open it to the Freedom Day on March 25, it took us a long time to receive the necessary permits. Only today we received the last "go-ahead" and already on Monday, the 28th, we'll open the monument. It will stand be on the 22 Belaruskaya streets. This 5 minutes from the subway "Lukyanovka".
The author of the monument is an artist, who himself lost a son in the war in Donbas.
