The Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs continues the realization of the Law on Amnesty dated for the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from fascists invaders. Over 1.7 convicts are going to be released.
"According to the penalty department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the possibility of amnestying 7 thousand 181 convict has been considered as of October 10, 2014. 1724 people will be released. 39 of them are minors,” the press service of the Ministry told Interfax-West.
The terms of 1981 people will be reduced by 12 months. About 8 thousand people have the right to be amnestied this year.
