Belarus' justice ministry issues a warning to one of the biggest opposition structures – United Civil Party.
The warning is connected with the UCP’s activities during the recent local election campaign, party members think (the party urged for democratic elections and release of political prisoners during candidates’ pickets). No other details have been reported. The UCP does not exclude that the authorities may liquidate the party.
UCP leader Anatol Lyabedzka will give a press conference in the party headquarters on Tuesday, April 8. The main topic will be: “The special operation against the UCP continues. The Ministry of Justice threatens to liquidate the party”.
