A group of Belarusian opposition politicians discussed the European Union’s possible steps to support Belarusian culture and civil society when they met with Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg in Prague on Thursday.
Earlier this week, the group arrived in the Czech capital city that hosts on May 7 the EU’s summit aimed at launching its Eastern Partnership program. It included Ivonka Survilla, the Canadian-based chairwoman of the BNR Rada (government in exile of the Belarusian National Republic); former presidential candidates Alyaksandr Milinkevich and Alyaksandr Kazulin; Zyanon Paznyak, the émigré leader of the Conservative Christian Party.
