Career Army Major-General Alyaksandr Myazhueu becomes the head of Belarus' Security Council.
The state leader signed a corresponding decree on December 5, BELTA reports.
Ejednevnik clarifies that Myazhueu was born on July 11, 1959 in Lyakhavichy, Brest region. He got higher education at Kyiv supreme military commandant college. After that he graduated the Military Academy named after Frunze in Moscow, the Military Academy of the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
At present, Myazhueu is a member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, heads the Permanent Commission on the National Security.
Leanid Maltsau headed the Security Council before Myazhueu. However, on November 2 Alyaksandr Lukashenka appointed him as a Head of the State Customs Committee.
