The State Security Committee (KGB) has returned $10,000 seized during a search in December 2010 to the leader of the United Civil Party.
UCP leader Anatol Lyabedzka said it to charter97.org.
"It's not an April Fool's joke. I really received the stolen money (about 10,000 dollars). I regard it as my little victory. The actions of the security services went beyond the bounds of law and the common sense," the politician noted.
He added his diaries and data storage devices are still kept in the KGB jail.
"I can put not a period, but a comma to this matter. I will continue to struggle for my diaries and data storage devices that were stolen by KGB officers during a raid on my home," Anatol Lyabedzka said.
It should be reminded that the politician's home was raided by KGB officers on December 28 in the "mass disorders" case. Documents and money were seized from Anatol Lyabedzka. A decision to return the seized items to the politician was taken in summer 2011 after a criminal case against the leader of the United Civil Party was closed.
