Lyabedzka won KGB

Today the leader of the UCP has received a letter signed by Deputy Chairman of KGB (State Security Committee) Ivan Tertelya, which states that he could get the seized items and documents in the investigation department of the KGB.

We remind, the situation with Lyabedzka's passport has been unsolved for six months after his release from KGB prison . All this time he was unable to use his passport within Belarus, and in order to travel abroad he used the old passport with valid visas. And this, in itself, was the reason for security services to put pressure on the UCP leader.

Now the politician consider the prospects of resolving the situation with cautious optimism. "Yes, there is the letter, but we live in the very specific country, where everything can happen", Lyabedzka said in the interview to ucpb.org website.

As Lyabedzka was told in the investigation department of KGB, he can take his passport on November 3 at 10:00 am.

It is interesting, that just today the leader of the UCP has planned to apply in Minsk City Executive Committee for a solitary picket of KGB building demanding the return of his passport and confiscated items.
