Minsk city executive committee didn't allow the opposition to hold the May 1 rally in Minsk Park of Peoples Friendship.
About this site UDF.BY learnt in the press service of the Belarusian Leftist Party "A Just World", which was one of the initiators of the event. The refusal of the authorities was explained by the fact that in the park another event is already planned on that date.\
We remind, the applicants were planning to devote a meeting on ending the poverty of Belarusians, holding fair elections and release political prisoners. The applicants were the representatives of the Party "A Just World", the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) and the organizing committee of the Belarusian Party of Workers.
