Vitebsk Regional Court will clarify whether Kalyakin used a bad language

Board of Vitebsk regional court on April 18 to hear appeals of party chairman "A Just World" Sergei Kalyakin on the decision of Orsha court, which fined the politician on March 29 by 10 basic units.


Sergei Kalyakin, as well as the UCP leader Anatol Lyabedzka and activist of the campaign "European Belarus" Alyaksandr Atroshchankau were removed from the train in Orsha "Minsk-Moscow." They were accused of using foul language and were fined by Br350 thousand (10 basic units) each one.

As the deputy chairman of "A Just World" party Valery Uhnalou informed UDF.BY, in order to support the politician, the court was attended by about 20 people - party and civil activists, human rights activists. However, in the courtroom they did not let anyone, saying that theere is are a lot processes, and there is no space. The court officials couldn't explain who was in the room. In addition, near the court there are a lot of police officers in uniform and plainclothes. They are headed by the deputy chief of police department of the Vitebsk Region Executive Committee Vladimir Papko.

The activists, who are not allowed at the process, are writing in a book of comments and suggestions of the court. There are already more than a dozen recordings for the date.
