Special operation, sanctioned at the highest level, the chairman of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka called the detention of opposition politicians and their trial.\

Lyabedzka, as well as chairman of "A Just World" Party Sergei Kalyakin and activist of the campaign "European Belarus" Alyaksandr Atroshchankau were detained on the night of March 28 on the train "Minsk-Moscow." Most days they spent in the detention center of Orsha and on 29 March were fined by the Orsha court on 10 basic units each. The court agreed with the arguments of the police officers that the oppositionists at 12.00 a.m. went out on the platform in Orsha, and used a foul language there.

"We were escorted from Minsk to Orsha, and here a lot of people from various law enforcement agencies have been waiting for us", Anatoly Lyabedzka said UDF.BY site. "How can it be characterized? We can say this is political schizophrenia, it is absurd".

The main goal of this special operation was not to allow politicians to go to Brussels.

"This goal is achieved, but at what cost to their reputation - this is the authorities themselves should answer the question", said the leader of the UCP. He said that he would contact the prosecutor's office and demand an explanation about "who participated in this special operation".

Lyabedzka also informed, that they took their passports and did not return: "Now they say passports are not there - someone took them. I think the main task is, they want to make us the people without passports, without citizenship".
