Ministry of Justice has suspended registration of the "Belarusian Christian Democracy" party for a month.
As the BCD press service informed UDF.BY, they received the corresponding letter from the Ministry of Justice on January 11.
The reasons for the suspension of registration process are not known.
We remind, the fourth founding congress of the BCD was held in Minsk on December 17. After the congress, over 1080 signatures of the party's founders were handed to the Ministry of Justice.
In recent years, according to the BCD statements, the founders were under pressure with a purpose to intimidate them and force them to withdraw their signatures for the party's creation. Such cases have been registered in Belarus, Narovlia, Miory district.
Co-Chair of the BCD Vital Rymasheuski said the Ministry of Justice was trying to "crack down on the BCD by strange hands".
