Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus considers it unnecessary to comment on the decisions taken at the OSCE Conference of Civil Society, held on December 6 in Vilnius.
"It’s clear for us that solutions of this forum are politically motivated and highly biased, so in any way we deem it unnecessary to comment on them," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Savinykh on December 8.
According to the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, the OSCE conference of Civil Society, held in Vilnius in parallel with the 18th session of the OSCE Ministerial Council, had no relation to the activities of the OSCE, "just took place in the same city as the OSCE Ministerial Council," BelTA.
The participants of the Conference the OSCE Civil Society adopted a resolution on Belarus on December 6. The document suggests ceasing any cooperation with the official Minsk. The participants urged not to transfer any money to the Belarusian authorities, including loans, technical assistance and investments. Also it was offered at the conference to give up participating in investment projects and privatization.
Moreover, the authors of the resolution proposed a number of consultations within the OSCE, with participation of representatives from Belarus, as well as to temporary suspend the country's membership in this organization due to the fact that the official Minsk is systematically violating and failing to comply with its obligations to the organization.
