CIS and OSCE representatives were invited to observe the presidential election in Belarus, Andrei Savinykh, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, told media on 16 September.
"Today Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Martynov has signed the official letters to the CIS and OSCE inviting to observe the presidential election in Belarus,"Andrei Savinykh said.
In his words, Belarus does not put a limit on the period of stay and the number of international observers. It proves Belarus’ intention to hold open and transparent elections meeting the international requirements, according to him.
