The leader of the Young Front Dmitry Dashkevich on the night of 26 to 27 September have been possibly transferred to Glubokaye penal colony №13.
As one of the Glubokaye penal colony's guard informed UDF.BY, tonight one of the prisoners was escorted in jail. The colony administration alerted staff members that he was "serving the sentence under a political article", and instructed, according to a source, to treat him politely.
Dmitry Dashkevich the last few days was in Vitebsk pre-trial prison №2 waiting for transfer to one of the regional penal colony. Before this, Tatiana Sevyarynets the mother of the politician Pavel Sevyarynets was given an information about Dashkevich. However, on September 26 in the pre-trial prison this information was refused to be given.
We remind, that penal colony №13 in Glubokaye is notorious for using violence against prisoners. Thus, in early August, a former prisoner and mothers of two more prisoners of the penal colony №13 told about beatings in the prison. At a press conference in Minsk, Yuriy Lingo, recently released from the Glubokaye prison said that in June of this year, prisoners of the colony demanded a meeting with the Prosecutor General of Belarus in connection with bad conditions of detention. As the meeting was not held, some of its initiators had started a hunger strike, after which they were severely beaten. One of them then broached his stomach, the second - veins and nearly died from blood loss.
