Volfovich: Active citizenship can help resist destructive pressure
On 29 April, the Institute of National Security hosted the 12th interdepartmental science conference of public outreach apparatuses of state bodies of the national security system of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. "A massive campaign of destructive information and psychological warfare has been launched against people in uniform. Its aim is to reduce the importance of national values, patriotism, loyalty to military and official duty," Aleksandr Volfovich noted. “Purposeful attempts are being made to overshadow the importance of Fatherland and to belittle and degrade the idea of the need to protect it."

We can resist such attacks and survive these difficult times only by cultivating an active citizenship among personnel, Aleksandr Volfovich noted. In this regard, he urged to focus on raising the awareness among people in uniform of their role and responsibility for the security of the Motherland, the commitment to defend its interests.

"This necessitates a constructive interdepartmental dialogue and exchange of experience and develop best practices with an aim of getting the personnel prepared to perform their tasks in any situation,” the state secretary of the Security Council emphasized.

Aleksandr Volfovich expressed confidence that the decisions to be made at the conference will be effectively applied to keep peace on the Belarusian land, to ensure the national security of the sovereign state.
