Children of the presidential candidate Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya have left the country, Natallia Radzina, editor-in-chief of the Charter'97 website said in an interview with Russian journalist Olga Romanova.
According to Radzina, she is now in one of the EU countries. The journalist did not specify the country.
"I have been busy moving here the children of presidential candidate Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya. She came to me for help, and our team decided to help her. We moved the children out because she was really threatened," Radzina said.
She recalled that Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya had received threats that her children would be taken away from her. Earlier, the same threats were faced by the family of Andrei Sannikau, who was nominated as a presidential candidate in the 2010 election.
Svyaatlana's husband, video blogger Syarhei Tsikhanouski, is behind bars. He has been charged with committing a criminal offence.
