The people who would like to participate in the action “Immortal Regiment” in Minsk will gather near the RSLP House in Kammunistuchnaya Street at 10 a.m. on May 9, ex-MP and one of the organizers of the action Valery Drako told Radio Liberty.
The action has been allowed by Minsk City Executive Committee, he said. The action participants have been allowed to walk to the Victory monument and lay wreaths on it, he said.
The organizers had bene planning to walk from Yakub Kolas Square to Victory Square (the itinerary was allowed last year). “However, we would have to pay 250 minimal wages for it. We do not have the money so we have refused from this variant,” Drako explained.
About 1500 people participated in the action last year.
