The Belarusian and Russian Presidents had a phone conversation on November 9 afternoon. Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin discussed ‘problems existing in Belarus-Russia interaction’, BELTA refers to the Belarusian leader’s press service. The solutions to the problems ‘were suggested by the governments of the two states’. Decisions will be made at the meeting of Lukashenka and Putin within the next two weeks. The price of Russian gas and oil supplies to Belarus will be discussed.
The Belarusian and Russian Presidents also discussed the results of the presidential election in the USA and the victory of republican candidate Donald Trump. They commented on the effect that Trump’s victory may produce on ‘the development of regional and global processes’.
Lukashenka described the details of his recent visit to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to Putin.
