German diplomat Andrea Wiktorin will succeed Maira Mora as head of the European Union's Delegation to Belarus later this year.
Ms. Wiktorin, who currently serves as German ambassador to Latvia, is expected to enter upon her new duties this fall, a representative of the EU diplomatic mission told BelaPAN.
Born on December 13, 1957, Ms. Wiktorin joined the German foreign ministry in 1989. She served as counselor at the German embassy in Belarus between 2000 and 2003.
Ms. Mora, a former ambassador of Latvia to Belarus who has headed the EU Delegation since the summer of 2011, will leave the post on August 31.
