MPs will gather for an extraordinary session called by a president's decree to set the date of presidential election.
Presidential elections will be held not later than 15 November 2015. But the exact date will be announced only three months prior to that day. This was announced by the chair of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna during an interview with Euroradio.
Yarmoshyna: "If we are discussing November 15, then we subtract three months and get a mid-August. At this time, the parliament is on holidays - it must meet for an extraordinary session called by the president, the position subject to election. We already discussed the provisional date ((of extraordinary session -- Euroradio) at consultations, but I do not want to disclose it. I simply have no right to do so -- there is a parliament for this. Nevertheless, it will be done in the time frame required by the election legislation. I'm not talking about August 15, moreover, it is Saturday, but in the week prior to August 15 this will definitely happen."
