Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will stay in Belarus on June 15 and 16, Dzmitry Mironchyk, spokesman for the Belarusian foreign ministry, told reporters in Minsk on Thursday.
Mr. Lavrov is expected to hold talks with his Belarusian counterpart, Uladzimir Makey. "The agenda includes topical matters of Belarusian-Russian cooperation, foreign-policy cooperation, including in the framework of the Union State's program of concerted actions," said Mr. Mironchyk. "The sides plan to exchange opinions on certain issues on the regional and international agenda that are of mutual interest."
Asked whether the situation in Ukraine would be under discussion, Mr. Mironchyk answered in the affirmative.
