According to Alyaksandr Lukashenka, a new generation of politicians and governors should come to the field of Belarusian politics.
"The time for a new generation of politicians of all sphere and directions has come,"Mr. Lukashenka said Thursday at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).
"They won't sit on these chairs forever. Today our task is to give power to normal young politicians of 40-45 years, until 50 years old - this is normal," he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lukashenka said that he was not advocate "of appointing ministers of 25 years old.".
"'Cause this is important how they will take him when he governs people with huge shoulder straps [of high rank]," Mr. Lukashenka said. "I've experienced this when became president of 38 years old. I know it very good. God helped me to scramble out of this situation, but I realized that the better day the better deed, and this is true also for age, and people's experience," he noted.
When Lukashenka talks about renewal of governing authorities, most likely, he means the team of his eldest son Viktar Lukashenka to become the "new generation of politicians". Lukashenka's son appoints his people for all the key positions.
According to experts, all the law enforcement agencies are within the range of Viktar Lukashenka's [presidential aide for national security] control. The time has come to appoint loyal supporters of his father in remaining governmental structures.
"According to Belarus' officials, Viktar Lukashenka is frequently called the future president of Belarus at drunken feasts," said Roman Bezsmertnyi, former Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus.
Viktor Lukashenka is now 37 years old. So, when Lukashenka speaks of the necessity to gradually reshuffle the old nomenclature of 40-45-year-old, then there is a hint in his words that he will bear the next presidential term. Afterwards, the power will be demised to "young wolves" of his eldest son's team.
