Lukashenka: Belarus is undergoing sovereignty check-up

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has touched upon the situation in Belarus in the next two years. 2019 and 2020 will be special years full of political events, the state leader said when approving the appointment of the heads of regional authorities. “Our country is undergoing a sovereignty and independence check-up from all the directions – in the East and in the West, on the right and on the left,” BELTA quotes the president as saying.
"Nobody will move us anywhere if we work efficiently,” Lukashenka told officials. It is necessary to provide Belarusians with normal living conditions, he noted. “We must improve people’s life and preserve our sovereignty and independence. Otherwise, nobody will need this sovereignty”.
