In the morning of July 19, the lawyer having necessary medicines for Tatiana, who was sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest, came to the detention center on Akrestsina street. However, he wasn't let in on the pretext that a doctor's ward round was going on in the facility.
Than chairman of the "Ecohouse" Irina Sukhiy tried to pass the parcel with things and medicines. The parcel wasn't accepted, as allegedly one parcel had been already passed to Novikova. Who could have done it is unknown, since Sukhiy packed the parcel with Tatiana's relatives.
Later, Tatiana's sister managed to pass the medicines.
We remind, Novikova is chronically ill, her thyroid gland was removed, and she can not live without special medicines. On July 18 she was arrested together with Russian anti-nuclear movement activist Andrei Ozharovsky, when they were going to pass to the Russian Embassy in Minsk an open appeal against the signing of general contract for the construction of nuclear power plant, during the visit of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. The contract was signed. Novikova was sentenced to five days of administrative arrest, Ozharovsky - to 10.
