The Belarusian leader has not given an official answer to the invitation of the Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė. The Lithuanian Ambassador to Belarus Edminas Bagdonas has informed about it at a press conference
As ERB has already informed, the Lithuanian government has invited Alyaksandr Lukashenka to take part in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of restoration of the country’s independence. The invitation is a response to the interrogation of General Uladzimir Ushopchyk in the Belarusian Office of the Public Prosecutor. Lithuania blames Ushopchyk for shooting at peaceful citizens in Vilnius on January 13, 1991.
