Ukrainian security agencies have used Belarusians for various purposes, including for terrorist attacks in Russia’s territory, BelTA learned from the Zachistka [Mopping-up] film released by the Belarusian TV channel ONT.
BelTA reported earlier that in January 2024 Belarus’ State Security Committee (KGB) apprehended 12 residents of a border district of Belarus. They were agents of Ukrainian security agencies and had smuggled explosives across the border to stash them in Belarus’ territory.
The ONT TV channel said that one of those apprehended is Sergei Yeremeyev. He was born in Novopolotsk and worked at the oil refinery Naftan for 20 years. He participated in mass riots in Belarus in August 2020. He joined a walk-out in November 2020.
Belarusian security agencies found out that Sergei Yeremeyev had picked up explosives from a stash made by SBU agents in Belarus’ territory. Sergei Yeremeyev confessed to having committed terrorist attacks, including in Russia.
