Belarus' KGB launches exercise to test preparedness of state bodies to respond to terrorist attacks

The State Security Committee began an exercise in Minsk Oblast and Vitebsk Oblast on 5 January to test the readiness and interaction of government agencies in response to acts of terrorism, the State Security Committee (KGB) told BelTA.

Units of the State Security Committee, the Internal Affairs Ministry, the State Border Committee, the army, the Emergencies Ministry, and other government agencies are taking part in the exercise.

Military hardware will be used according to the scenario of the exercise.
